Signs of Receptive Language Delay
Children who experience receptive language difficulties may:
- Have difficulty following instructions
- Complete only part of the instruction and miss entire steps
- Need constant repetition of instructions
- Not answer questions when asked
- Repeat your question or what you have said to them
- Need consistent prompting to complete activities
- Look around to see what others are doing to follow
- Find it difficult to listen to stories
